The majestic beauty of a koi pond or tank can quickly turn into a dilemma for owners grappling with the question: “What do you do with koi fish you can't keep anymore? Many circumstances arise that make it challenging for owners to know what to do when they are moving out of or into a home with a fish pond. Some start a pond and find out it's either much more work than they imagined, or even find out that there are homeowners' insurance, associations, or city and county regulations that restrict fish ponds on their properties.  Some also find that their ponds and or fish tanks get overstocked as they grow, and they start losing Koi to sickness.  

Whatever occurs, we here at SWFL Koi Fish Rescue understand the stress of not having someone in our area to contact.  Some owners try to sell their Koi and find out their favorite marketplace won't allow the listing, or who wants a stranger coming into their safe space, worrying their casing the joint for theft.  

 

Our compasionate team are professional, and do not charge to rehome. In some instances due to distance and amount of fish we ask you to consider a donation to help us transport feed and provide treatment if the Koi are sick.
